First blog post

My first ever post. I’m super excited and looking forward to my new life in San Myshuno. My little Sis is pretty mad I’m making her up sticks and move to a whole new city but I’m sure she’ll love it once we get there and get settled.

Still another month and 3 days to go till we get to San Myshuno. A completely new start was required I was totally stuck in a rut back in Newcrest. I had a couple of jobs (Dishwasher at Submerge restaurant and Junior reporter at the Newcrest observer) and was still struggling to pay rent on our 2 bed apartment.

With low rents, Better job opportunities and so much going on in this new city it was a no brainer to start fresh there.

Can’t wait  to get there!!!!!!!!!!!!

Reinvention

Since my life has drastically changed from single carefree sim to Mum the premise of my blog will be changing. I have due to My second pregnancy and living the busy life of a first time mother decided to shut down the Not in My Shu No blog.

My blog has always revolved around me and my life and well this is what my life has become, I’m no longer able to explore the city. My days are now spent entertaining a toddler.

I am aware I may lose a lot of followers and I would like to thank you for your support, Likes and comments and wish you all the best.

I know a lot of my readers are hoping i’ll give them the insider information about my sister since she’s been in the News recently.  I cannot offer anymore insight into the case or add anything that the media hasn’t already made common knowledge. I really don’t feel comfortable airing our family drama and misfortune out on the internet.

Condolence’s

It has been a difficult time for us and the Solano family.

Marissa Solano was a brilliant person who touched the lives of everyone she encountered and made them smile a little brighter. We are helping each other heal and Marissa will forever live on in our hearts and memories.

I  Just want to thank you for your well wishes and condolences, It means a lot to me and my family.

Changes

The terrible teen years have hit and my sweet, cute baby sister is now a rebellious teenager.

Honestly she’s not that bad. It was just a shock to the system to have her arrive home completely covered in tattoo’s and piercings. She is still that sweet hardworking girl that attends school on time everyday, always has her homework done and Dotes on her Nephew. The rest of her time is spent with her bestie Lilith and their boyfriends. Ripp Grunt is Nai’s boyfriend, he seems ok, I mean they stay out of trouble so I guess I cant complain.

Saddened to add we lost an important member of our family. Mama Solano passed away yesterday peacefully in her sleep. Her great grandson was visiting so it’s comforting to know she wasn’t alone.

The Funeral is next week, Nairobi and I are devastated, She was like a mum to us.

I don’t know, She was nearing 90 and we should have expected her time to come to and end soon but I really didn’t whenever I thought of our future life I always saw her standing alongside us.

Although I have experienced a lot of loss (My parents and brothers) It never gets easier to say goodbye to the ones we love.

I’m going to ask  a favour of you today. From this day onward tell the ones you love no matter where they are how much you love them regularly as you never know how much time you have left with them.

Mr and Mrs

Mrs Soto signing in..

Yes I kept my family name Ace knew how important it is to me. It is the only thing Me and Nairobi share with Our parents and brothers [our Name]. He was happy to become Mr Soto. He claims it helps him maintain his privacy as his artwork is now recognised and sought after the world over, He signs his work with his family name as a tribute to his great grandmother.

The wedding was nice. I finally got to meet Ace’s parents and I see where my man gets his unique outlook on life. They are so cool and make me feel old and reserved Lol.

Anyways i’m off to enjoy the rest of my Familymoon (we have the kids with us so I refuse to call it a honeymoon) We are visiting Al Simhara.

NOOBOO!!

Hi ya’ll

Let me introduce you to the newest member of the Soto clan.

 

Blaine Soto

 

He finally made his appearance 3 nights ago.

After a very long labour of 62 very long and extremely painful hours. Nairobi went to stay with Ace’s twin sister Lily and his Nephew Romeo during labour she had a great time in the San Myshuno Tower hotel where Lily had been staying.

I’m yet to meet his parents as they travel a lot in their motorhome. Got that to look forward to in a few weeks at the wedding. We are gluttons for punishment planning a wedding so soon after giving birth. I don’t recommend it to anyone I’m soo tired and stressed. I’m so happy though I wouldn’t change a thing.

Back from Hiatus

Hi guys, Its been a few months since I updated my social  media accounts and a lot has happened let me tell you.

Exciting news at least for me. I’m gonna be a mum. Remember that gorgeous starving artist I met at Simfest. he has now moved to the city. Actually I’m withholding some truth he actually moved into my apartment and we are expecting a Nooboo pretty soon.

Pregnancy has been difficult I’ve been suffering with Hyperemesis gravidarum which is absolutely awful and for those who don’t know and don’t feel like looking it up its an severe case of morning sickness that happens several times a day and leads to dehydration and huge amount of weight loss. Everything sets me off I’ve not even been able to keep down sips of water. so I’ve had a prolonged hospital stay attached to a drip, giving my Nooboo the Nutrients he needs. It seems to be easing now and I’ve been allowed home for the last few days up to my due date. So I’m in nesting mode and packing my bag for the birth.

Ace and Nairobi are really close they get on like a house on fire, Good thing too as he’s had to look after her while I’ve been away. (With Mama Solano’s help. She came to stay and help out.)

Ace loves painting portraits and Nairobi loves to pose. Match made in heaven and our colourful apartment walls are now filled with pictures of Nairobi,me and the Bump.

I did manage to get another million followers before my Social media blackout. I would like to thank you all for that and staying loyal. I was really surprised to logon and find my follower count at around the same amount.

 

I haven’t updated my Simstagram or Simbook either and probably wont until Nooboo arrives. I’m sure no-one wants to read about my Pregnancy ailments and sore area’s.

Simfest…

Now in other news, yes I attended Simfest with my girl Lin Berkley.

We arrived pretty early and even then the place was filling up nicely. There were a few unknown bands and Dj’s on the live stage. I didn’t really pay too much attention to them as I was busy setting up our sleeping quarters (yep pitching our little 2 man tent)

Of course I made time to watch Tempest perform. They did not disappoint.

I even got to chat with Noodle after their set and she told me about the world tour they have planned and a line of bright unnatural colour hair dyes they are promoting. So look out for them.

I got to sample some of the food cart delights which to be honest are pretty much the same as what is available in the city.

I did try out the luxury cupcake stall but that only opened for 10 minutes at a time.

I met the most gorgeous starving artist selling his wares. Numbers exchanged and dates arranged XD.

The atmosphere was pretty laid back and things wound down quite early. But we had tons of fun and are looking forward to attending the next event.

Christmas Interlude >>

Tempest

Well we start my post with some news which may be a surprise to some or completely expected if you are anything like my bestie Lin. Salim and I broke up. Pass the chocolate and tissues 😦 nah it’s really not even like that we rarely saw it other so it was more of a relief than a devastating heartbreak situation. We parted on good terms and still see each other around the city (Very rarely as lazy is as lazy does. In Salim’s case that’s lounging about in his apartment).

Well to cheer me up I was given a ticket to see my fav band Tempest in concert.and AHHHH!!! Fangirl alert IT WAS AMAZING!!

I have no words if you haven’t seen them live you are missing out. I tried to get pictures but security made that difficult. I did manage to sneak a few and a little video before I was spotted and almost removed by this big burly female.

So I’ll share them with you guys.

Next post will be SIMFEST!!!

The Big Shu

City life is a lot of Fun. We re starting to settle into a routine. Nairobi has made a few friends and they come over to do homework and hang out together. Lilith is a bit of a bad influence they are constantly playing pranks at school. Angela on the other hand seems so different to her twin.  I’m so glad they are all friends as when she’s around the other two are much better behaved.

I’m not seeing as much of Salim as I was so much to do so little time and he never wants to spend time with me when I explore the city, He say’s he’s seen it all before and would rather just hang out at his apartment. I miss him but if I want to be successful I have to put my career and little sister first.

I haven’t been able to attend any festivals of late as I’ve had to be home with Nai and the twins after school (Due to personal reasons I’m unable to let her stay over at their house). and work is really tiring me out and on top of that I’m trying to keep on top of my Simbook and Simstagram.

I do have a new Bestie too, Her name is Lin and we will be attending Simfest together next weekend . Arghhhh  I’m so excited. Nairobi will be back in Newcrest with Mama Solano  so I’ll be able to let my hair down and be responsibility free for 2 whole days.
